I am Garry Oshier, and I am raising funds for my son, Suharta Sen, who is battling Hodgkin's lymphoma. Suharta, who is only twelve years old, is a bright and courageous child who has been diagnosed with classical Hodgkin lymphoma stage IV with a mediastinal mass.

This journey began on February 28, 2024, when he was diagnosed at the Institute of Child Health, Park Circus, Kolkata. Currently, Suharta is undergoing chemotherapy at Tata Medical Center, Kolkata, after being discharged on March 22, 2024. It is a rigorous six-cycle chemotherapy regimen, with each cycle lasting about a month. Despite all the treatments, a recent PET-CT scan on May 14, 2024, revealed the presence of cancer cells in the upper portion of his left lung. Hence, after the completion of chemotherapy, Suharta may need to undergo radiation therapy, as advised by his doctors.
The estimated cost of these treatments is approximately Rs. 12,00,000. Our family has delved into our savings and spent Rs. 5,70,000 so far, and we still need Rs. 15,00,000 to cover the remaining medical expenses. Our family consists of three members, with only one earning member, making it incredibly challenging to bear the financial burden alone.

Watching Suharta's resilience and determination on this journey inspires us every day. As parents, we are doing everything we can to ensure he gets the best possible care, but we cannot do it ourselves. We urgently need to arrange for the necessary funds for his treatment, for which we have set up this fundraiser. This fundraiser is our hope—to offer our son a chance at a healthy life.
